The Todd McNabb Memorial Scholarship

 

For the Love of the Game

The Todd McNabb Memorial Scholarship was established in September 2014 when Todd passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. In effort to honour his passion and desire for youth to embrace an extracurricular activity like hockey to build character and create friendships for a lifetime, while always recognizing the importance of education, the idea to create this scholarship fund was imagined.

Todd McNabb was my good friend. He and I started together at GMAC the financial arm of General Motors.  We both grew and flourished in that organization.  We stayed friends throughout our careers.  We were both supportive and helpful to each other.  We were both honestly proud of the successes we saw each other achieve.

Todd was very active with sports and with his family in our Ajax community.  I miss my friend, but feel extremely honoured to part of the Todd McNabb Memorial Scholarship as a corporate donor and a member of the 2015 Selection Committee.

Todd always had a smile and positive comment to share and competitive spirit full of passion that was enlightening.   My friend will always be remembered.  The memorial fund I believe continues on his giving spirit.
