National Denim Day | Get your Denim on Durham!
Tuesday, May 13th was National Denim Day supporting the CURE Foundation. The employees at Boyer Chevrolet Buick GMC did their part to help fight Breast Cancer. National Denim Day is the CURE Foundation’s main fundraising event. As of December 31, 2013 the CURE Foundation has raised $1,533,960.56 for the fight!
Businesses across Canada are asked to participate by allowing their staff to wear denim and donate $5 in exchange for the CURE’s ‘pink flower’ ribbon. We held a BBQ lunch to thank staff for participating. Those who could not wear denim to work donated $3 for the lunch instead.
Getting our denim on is not enough! We also held a 50/50 draw to generate more donations and a donation will be made on behalf of the whole VanDusen Team! See our final results here!
