Todd McNabb Scholarship

Todd McNabb was a well-respected leader both at work in the automotive finance industry and within the Ajax Minor Hockey community.  He was very passionate about the positive influence of team sports on young people.  Todd grew up playing competitive hockey in Oshawa, Ontario and knew these benefits first hand.  Then, for almost every season since 2004, Todd gave back to his community by becoming Head Coach within the Ajax Minor Hockey Association and Ajax-Pickering Raiders.

September 2014, after Todd passed away following a courageous battle with cancer, the Todd McNabb Memorial Scholarship was established.  The scholarship is a way to share his passion for building character and lifelong friendships through extracurricular youth activities like hockey, all while recognizing the importance of education.

“Todd was very active with sports and with his family in our Ajax community.  I miss my friend but feel extremely honoured to be part of the Todd McNabb Memorial Scholarship as a corporate donor and a member of the 2015 Selection Committee.

Todd always had a smile and positive comment to share.  His competitive spirit was filled with enlightened passion.

My friend will always be remembered.  I believe that the memorial fund will continue his giving spirit.”   –  Jim VanDusen.
